Bio:

Abandoned at birth outside what was to become his home for the next 23 years, Marcus Rowntree studied under Grandmaster Kipling in the monastry-fortress of Bourne’s Ville hidden deep within the Chanel mountains in the south-east of Pedastria (well, he does make exceedingly good kicks).

As a prodigy of the golden palm tradition, Marcus has been charged to go forth into the world to fulfill the most ancient of charges in their sacred scrolls: The Perfection of Self (though due to translation difficulties he may be searching for the Flawless Shortbread Recipe or the Largest Wombat in Existance – hey, nobody said being a monk was easy). Marcus may also use this as opportunity to hunt down the renegade Masters Tate and Lyle – childhood rivals of Marcus and proponents of the False Path (they dare to suggest the highest ideal should translate as Rich Tea Fingers!).

During an undead incursion into the town of Fenton, Marcus temporarily joined the Fellowship of the Ming when the priest of the temple he was visiting turned into an undead monstrosity and attempted to suck Marcus’ bone marrow out of his eyeballs (that’s Marcus’ eyeballs not the priest’s – that would just be weird).

He left soon afterwards when a captured villain asked him a reasonable question and has been last seen touring the Elven Baronies, trying not to break his Vow of Reasonable Causes for Unleashing Violence.
